I’d have to say mint is probably my favorite herb.  It’s so easy to grow, almost too easy.  If you plant in in the ground it will take over your entire garden.  It’s best to grow it in a controlled area or a container.  There are several different varieties of mint.  Peppermint, chocolate mint, lemon mint, apple mint, spearmint and even catmint (cuz kitties love mint too)!


Fresh mint has a much milder flavor to it than the kind of mint used to flavor candy.  Mint is a great addition to a glass of iced tea or water.  It’s surprising how much more appealing it is to drink water when it has a splash of flavor added to it.  It’s a great way to flush the toxins from your body and help you lose weight.  If you are trying to cut soda from your diet, try iced green tea or water with a sprig of mint and some lemon or lime slices.


How about a mint mojito???  One of my fav adult cocktails!  Especially with coconut rum, yummy!


It’s also delicious sprinkled over fruit or ice cream.



Sometimes, just eating mint straight off the floor is okay too!
